Delivery Policy

Our Delivery Policy (Delivery Terms & Conditions)


When are my items going to be delivered? That’s the big thing, that’s what you really want to know.
At OAKEA we aim to deliver 99% of our orders within 14 Days. If an item is out of stock, we will contact
you to let you know when your order is likely to be back in stock at the very earliest opportunity. For
some smaller items they are available on a next day delivery using a DPD service (more about this below)
As a rule we don’t deliver to locations that require use of a boat to reach them (Northern Ireland, Isle of
Wight, Isle of Man, Orkney Islands etc).
Free Delivery On all orders to England and Wales.
Due to the logistics involved unfortunately there is a £30 Delivery charge on orders to Scotland.


Small Next Day Items


If you order a single item and it’s relatively small such as a Bedside Table or Telephone Table, if you order
before midday we’ll endeavour to send these out same day with the intention of it being delivered the
following working day. If the order is placed after midday it may have to wait until the following working
day as we let our employees go home sometimes. In most instances these will be delivered by DPD. On
the morning of delivery you will receive an email and text message from the delivery company advising a
one-hour time slot for the delivery. DPD are a courier and not a delivery company, hence they are only
insured to deliver to the front door of your property and not to the room of your choice.
DPD will endeavour to deliver any order within the timescale stated, however sometimes due to
circumstances beyond our (and their) control delays do sometimes occur (extreme weather, security
checks, etc). In the unlikely event that this occurs the courier will deliver your item/s as quickly as
possible. Please note that if you request to leave an item in a safe, neither DPD nor OAKEA can
take responsibility for loss or damage occurred once an item has been delivered to said safe place, This
request is made at the customers own risk.


Standard Delivery


Our standard delivery is for all other orders, we aim to deliver your furniture using The Delivery Service
within 14 Days of ordering. The delivery team will bring the item into a downstairs room of your choice. If
an item is out of stock we will contact you to let you know the expected due date of the item at the
earliest opportunity.


White Glove Delivery


Our White glove delivery service is an optional upgrade, this service is only currently offered to some
local areas and its best to contact us if you require this service prior to ordering. With this service the
delivery team will bring the items into a room of your choice and assemble any items that need
assembling.
The white glove service also includes free package removal, however if you wish to return an item we do
need the item to be returned in its original packaging so if you do wish for us to take the packaging away
we will not be able to accept any returns, so in this case check to make sure you are happy with your
item. Alternatively ask the drivers to leave the packaging and they will happily do so.
This white glove service costs £50.00 per order not per item like some greedy companies out there.
